Welcome! I am a health nut and treehugger, striving to live a better life.
I grew up in the Girl Guides of Canada and learned some preparedness and survival techniques from many years of camp and badge-work. “Be prepared” was our motto, and it has served me well thus far! The most profound learning I had during those years was the St. John’s Ambulance training we took in our Rangers patrol. It is really amazing how easily things can go wrong with our bodies!! Getting some basic first aid training is a huge gift to yourself and others. Accidents can happen and our health and well-being can be changed forever. Knowing how to help someone who has been injured is a wonderful form of service. I am grateful that I have gained much experience in healing and humbled by the skills I have acquired the hard way…while coping with my own injuries. We only get one human body and it is paramount that we look after it. We are “bags of mostly water” and our skin sure does earn it’s keep!
